Vitality qualify for BLAST Paris Major
The French organization will be in attendance at their home Major.
Vitality have secured a berth to the BLAST.tv Paris Major after defeating BIG in a three-map series, recovering from a defeat on the German team's pick of Mirage (10-16) by reverse-sweeping the series with relatively simple victories on Nuke (16-9) and Overpass (16-7).
The French organization's campaign in the RMR isn't quite done yet as they have a chance to make the Legends Stage through the third-place decider bracket, where they will first meet the winner of G2 vs. Cloud9 before going up against Monte to decide who secures the final spot.

Vitality started off their Major-qualifying effort with narrow best-of-one victories over Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas, but couldn't quite convert upon their first chance to advance to Paris as 9INE defeated them in a 2-0 series.
Pressure began to mount for the European combine in their second series as BIG kicked things off with a 16-10 victory on Mirage, beginning the map with a strong 8-2 lead on the T side and later holding a 15-6 advantage before closing out the map.
The slow start on Mirage proved to not be an issue for Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and company, however, and they put on a masterclass on the T side of Nuke to go up 10-5 at halftime before Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi combined to help their team even the series score.
Overpass was similarly one-sided as a stalwart defense allowed Vitality to establish another dominant lead at the break, the entire team outperforming their opponents en route to a 16-7 finish on the map.

Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen's streak of being the only player to attend the top-16 stage of every single Major looks set to continue as the team have made at the very least the Challengers Stage and can fight through that Swiss group to advance, but he'll have an early opportunity to make it through via the third-place decider bracket.
Qualifying through the 2-1 pool surely offers the French players on the lineup a bit of relief as they have ensured they can attend their home Major without having their backs up against the wall. BIG, meanwhile, will need to defeat Ninjas in Pyjamas in series play if they hope to avoid the last chance bracket, where FaZe already await.
