Biggest stories and top plays from day 8 of Paris Major qualifiers
Read through a recap of the events that took place on the penultimate day of the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMRs.
FORZE, NIP, ENCE secure Challengers Stage spots; FaZe and Cloud9 win in LCQ
Another day of competition in Denmark began with FORZE and Ninjas in Pyjamas locking in their Major spots with respective victories over Aurora and BIG. Cloud9 and ENCE then clashed in the final 2-2 match of the European RMR B, and it was the European combine who prevailed, sending their adversaries to the Last Chance Qualifier in the process.

Vitality and G2 also met in the fifth place decider, and the Dan "apEX" Madesclaire-led squad came out on top without much trouble, prompting Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen's honest assessment of G2's loss. That sets up a clash against Monte for Vitality, with the winner of the game securing a Legends Stage spot in Paris.

With the Swiss System coming to an end after the Cloud9 vs. ENCE clash, the European RMR moved to the Last Chance Qualifier. Six teams got a second chance to clinch one last spot at the Paris Major Challengers Stage, and the two heavy hitters of the LCQ in Cloud9 and FaZe wasted no time getting started with dominant 2-0 wins against B8 and Aurora.
The final match of the day happened between BIG and Paris hometown heroes Falcons. The clash was the closest one to call on paper, and those predictions came true despite a 2-0 victory for BIG. The Germans were made to work for victories on both maps, winning 16-13 and 16-14 to stay alive in the LCQ, ending Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and company's dream of qualifying for their home Major.

Player of the day
We were treated to several fantastic individual performances throughout the day. One of those was Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's 1.54-rated performance against G2, with his teammate Emil "Magisk" Reif not far behind at 1.50, but the crown has to go to Guy "NertZ" Iluz for his performance against Cloud9.
NertZ finished the European RMR B as the second-highest-rated player, and was crucial in ENCE's win over Cloud9. The new addition powered his team to a 19-15 victory on Ancient with 34 kills before his 1.45 rated performance on Vertigo locked in ENCE's spot at the Paris Major.
