MIBR and 9z crash out of IEM Rio

The two South American sides only won a single map between them.

9z and MIBR are the next two squads to be eliminated from IEM Rio, exiting the competition in joint-last place. Both sides suffered at the hands of European opposition, MIBR being comfortably dispatched by Cloud9 and then Vitality whilst 9z fell to FaZe and fnatic.

MIBR will be thoroughly disappointed by their showing on home soil, as they were relatively comfortably beaten in all three maps they played. They kicked things off with a 8-16 loss to Cloud9 on Ancient, where they struggled to get anything going on the T side and simply couldn’t handle the firepower trio of their Russian counterparts.

MIBR could not win a single map on home soil

The Brazilians then had a rough lower bracket matchup against Vitality to contend with after the No. 6 team in the world were upset by OG. Against the European squad it was the CT side that let MIBR down, as they mustered a measly five defensive rounds across Anubis and Nuke combined and once again could not match the fragging of their opponents.

9z started their tournament with a complete trouncing at the hands of FaZe, eventually falling to a 3-16 scoreline on Overpass.

Things took a turn for the better against fnatic in the lower bracket as they secured their own map pick of Nuke with an imperious 10 rounds straight on CT side, earning them a 16-9 victory. fnatic recovered admirably however to thump the South Americans 16-3 on Overpass, leaving it all resting on Ancient as the decider.

9z started well on Ancient by racking up a 3-0 lead thanks to their T pistol win, however they only scraped one more round and headed into the second half with plenty to do with the score at 4-11. They fought admirably but simply had too much ground to make up, eventually falling 12-16 to eliminate them from the competition.

The only reason brazillians will ever go to a stadium to see a live match of cs its both of the options: 1. They are really fans of the teams playing 2. It haves one or two BR teams playing

Indeed depressing, LOUD is a really good team. But I don’t like some audience who didn’t respect other teams from other country so that when fnatic win the trophy many people had left. that’s the same as what happened in Rio major.

I kinda agree with you I also think that is disrespctfull leave the stadium without even clap for the winner, but for us who live in a country where other people from EU and NA sees as a bad place full of "monkeys", we just want to prove they are wrong and see our teams win against all of them

BR have proved to be gifted in many fps games such as cs valo, I think those disrespect BR are monkeys themselves.
