Ambush reveal roster featuring NaToSaphiX, suNny

The Danish organization has moved away from the French scene with the signing of a new European combine.

Ambush have announced the signing of a new European roster featuring the likes of Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen and Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi.

The move marks the organization's return to Counter-Strike after their previous all-French lineup, which included players like David "⁠devoduvek⁠" Dobrosavljevic and Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia, began to disintegrate back in October.

The new European troupe will be helmed by Mikkel "⁠Maze⁠" Sparvath, who puts pen to paper and re-signs with Ambush alongside Milen "⁠milky⁠" Iliev, the two players previously being a part of the Danish organization for four months toward the tail-end of 2021.

Maze has had a relatively lackluster 2023 thus far. The Dane was briefly the in-game leader of Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski's Let us cook roster before joining Sprout on trial, where he lasted just two days before being given his marching orders.

Forming the Finnish contingent of the roster are suNny and Joonas "⁠doto⁠" Forss, the former joining Ambush after a notoriously failed stint with TITANS throughout 2022. The Finnish rifler was a household name before then, playing for the likes of MOUZ and ENCE. He was even ranked the 16th-best player in the world in 2018.

doto, on the other hand, links up with Ambush after previously playing with milky on Adaptation. Prior to this, the Finn spent six months with HAVU, from whom he opted to bench himself in February after the roster failed to secure a BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR berth.

Rounding out the roster is NaToSaphiX, who teased the signing on his Twitter late on Wednesday. The Dane's last venture was with his undefined roster, which went public in February and had the eventual goal of being picked up by an organization. Alas, that bid of becoming a salaried roster never came to fruition, with NaToSaphiX instead joining Ambush in what is his first time having organizational support since standing in for Complexity close to two years ago in 2021.
