Entropiq sign ritchiEE, PlesseN

Entropiq's roster now consists of five different nationalities.

Entropiq have completed the signings of Richard "ritchiEE" Mestdagh and Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen to round out their roster, the Czech organization has announced. The duo replaces Rudolf "Rutk0" Kovalčik, who enters free agency, and Josef "MoriiSko" Maurenc, who will part ways with the organization at the end of May after his final tournament with the team, Tipsport Bratislava.

The move signals a switch away from a Czech-Slovakian majority roster for the organization that previously housed a local division alongside a Russian team. After dropping their Russian squad and making the local roster their primary one, the organization has now transitioned into a fully international team with the latest signings.

PlesseN finds a new home after six months as a free agent

Both signings have amassed a fair bit of experience in the lower reaches of the European scene. ritchiEE represented EC Brugge for over a year during three different stints and he was a part of the ill-fated GORILLAZ project that he left less than a month after joining. The 24-year-old's last endeavor was teaming up with Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen in undefined at the start of the year, but the squad's members were forced to go their separate ways after failing to attract organizational support.

The Belgian rifler has been putting up impressive numbers in the online scene for a while and has averaged a 1.19 rating in the last 12 months while mainly playing in various CCT events.

PlesseN comes into the roster as a free agent after his last team, Finest, parted ways with their roster in October. The 24-year-old is most known for playing in the Swedish scene, having represented the likes of Red Reserve, Chaos, and Galaxy Racer.

"I welcome both players to Entropiq and look forward to watching their performance. We are continuing to build the team so that we can gradually become one of the top teams at the international level. We will continue to evaluate our progress before entering the CS2 period," said Entropiq Gaming Director Pavel Klaban in a statement about the new signings.

The new-look Entropiq roster is as follows:

Poland Michał "snatchie" Rudzki
Czech Republic Filip "AJTT" Dolenský
Germany Christoph "red" Hinrichs
Belgium Richard "ritchiEE" Mestdagh
Sweden Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen

Czech Republic Josef "MoriiSko" Maurenc (benched)

Poland Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski (coach)

Why doesnt entropiq just make another CIS roster? There's plenty of talent there. Actually I dont even know why the org left CIS scene

Im sorry Entropiq all you needed was to kEep mir and work with Hooch and nickleback to get his playstyle adjusted, then get a Russain awper to replace the great El1ian, but you fucked up and kicked the cis boys when they were down, all of them were humble hardworking people, please come out of the delusion that any of your future rosters can make up to the no. #9 in the world, that the CIS roster did for you all of the players now are doing 5x times better then your org thats karma, now please just switch to VAL because you're for the streets

To be fair the decision to drop the Russian lineup was affected by the war. Daniel Kloud (Entropiq CEO) added. "At the same time, since the beginning of the war [in Ukraine], it has been impossible to fulfill business goals associated with our CIS roster. For these reasons we decided to place the team on a transfer list."

well, it seems like c9 has no issues with Russian roster at all U can make it work if u really want to Or u can find excuses for absolutely anything… They can blame war, covid, climate change, even haemorrhoids, it doesn’t matter It’s a fact, they took a huge L dropping mir, Hooch and co. for these academy leftovers Good thing I made some buck in their major stickers, as most likely we won’t see entropiq stickers anymore

Exactly, and clearly they didn't want to lol. I'm not saying I think this team is better, I literally just stated that Entropiq CEO said the war did have an influence on his decision, obviously he wanted to move away from that and not have to deal with it.
2023-04-29 08:12

They missed major twice, that is probably bigger reason for missed business goals. When Entropiq bought them, there were 5 guaranteed spots for CIS for major. Are they doing better business with current roster ranked 100+?

Yeah their failure as a team was part of the reason for sure, they had a big decline. Just saying the war did have an impact on the decision according to mr CEO. As for better business Who knows, I'm not the CEO lol. this roster may be significantly cheaper. Maybe Entropiq got a decent payday transferring some of the other RU guys. If they wanna try and act as a farm team similar to CPH flames that tries to sign guys for cheap, give them a chance to show themselves, and then flip them for $ its better for everyone.

Its a simple reason. When you are doung business with russians or with russian organisations, you as a person who deals with them during the war, you are gonna be affected by other companies or individuals as a person who deals with russia so you will loose clients and investors or sponsors in all your business what you got, not only in that spec org where you are deali g with russians. It is everywhere even in sports. If you are playing in KHL you are out of the national team till the day when you’d leave. Due to the post trauma of russian ocupants in our country everybody hates russians no matter what.
