Brazy Party hits playoffs as 9INE secure final bracket stage spot over Sprout

The Polish team complete the eight-team, single-elimination bracket.

9INE have secured the final spot in the playoffs of Brazy Party after defeating Sprout 2-1 in the Group D decider match, faltering 13-16 on Ancient before recovering with one-sided victories on Vertigo (16-6) and Anubis (16-7) to join the likes of Cloud9, OG, and Astralis in the bracket stage.

The Polish team can breathe a sigh of relief after they missed their first chance to make the playoffs, letting slip a considerable lead on the Overpass decider versus Cloud9 in the winners' match. Their victory over Sprout didn't end up particularly labored despite the European combine winning Ancient, a map which continues to plague 9INE as they have lost their last eleven games in a row on it.

Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz and company can take solace in their incredible Vertigo, which has made up for their lackluster Ancient in spades – the Poles have won their last 15 Vertigo showings, and boast a 26-3 record on the map in the past three months. It was that map which helped them get back into the driver's seat versus Sprout, a masterclass on the T-side (helmed by Kamil "⁠KEi⁠" Pietkun and Wiktor "⁠mynio⁠" Kruk) netting them a 13-2 lead before they closed out the map, 16-6.

Anubis was equally strong from the Poles, despite Sprout managing to do slightly better in the first half. There, it was Krzysztof "⁠Goofy⁠" Górski who led 9INE to victory with a 1.72 rating, with the team winning four of the five clutch rounds on the map to end up closing out things with a 16-7 scoreline.
