The 19-year-old rifler takes home his first career MVP medal after leading the charge in HEROIC's grand final victory over Vitality.

Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard has been awarded the HLTV x 1xBet Most Valuable Player (MVP) medal for his performance at the BLAST Premier Spring FInal, where he provided superb impact and was the most consistent performer in round wins en route to HEROIC's victory over Vitality in the grand final.

The MVP race was incredibly tight heading into the grand final, with Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund being the leading candidate to take home the medal and Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut, Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller, and jabbi following behind him.

It ended up being HEROIC's youngest rifler that took home the accolade, however, thanks to a combination of his own phenomenal impact in round wins and being the best player of the grand final, but also due to stavn falling off in the title-deciding series.

jabbi averaged a 1.18 rating across the event and led HEROIC in opening kills, multi-kills, and T-side rating, while also saving less frequently which prevented his statistics from being inflated. He mustered 1.06 kills in HEROIC's round wins compared to cadiaN's 0.94 and stavn's 0.92, and placed among the top five in a number of categories on the statistics leaderboard.

Among those was a +41 kill differential (#2), 39 total opening kills (#2), 0.14 opening kills per round (#4), 59.1% success in opening duels (#5), and 1.22 impact rating (#4).

This is jabbi's first career MVP medal.

Jabbi had more openings, alot more kills per round. And he outperformed in the final by alot more than just a .02 rating increase with worse other stats like cadians tournament stats. Also he did that without using up the majority of the teams economy and resources like cadian does. Hell cadian even calls around himself. 4 pistols while he awps and then he plays around himself. Cadian is the star of the team. As far as who gets the most support and resources.

To clarify. Cadian still played an amazing tournament, and could've won it as well, that's why he did with blast's mvp . It's just jabbis case is also strong , and it's not at all true that he robbed cadian even slightly.

it's crazy that up until the very final match three players from heroic were in contention for the mvp award, and even sjuush and teses both had crazy huge impact plays. really nice to see the entire team to finally not give in to pressure in crucial matches
