Sources: OG to rebuild around F1KU, nexa, regali

A series of departures and benchings, a returnee in-game leader and a new AWPer leave OG with a half-complete roster.

OG plan to rebuild the lineup heading into the second part of 2023 around Maciej "⁠F1KU⁠" Miklas, Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković, and Iulian "⁠regali⁠" Harjău, sources have told HLTV and 1pv. The coaching staff is also being restructured, with current coach Casper "⁠ruggah⁠" Due likely to step into a different role in the organization.

Only the Pole remains from the previous iteration of the roster after Adam "⁠NEOFRAG⁠" Zouhar and Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov have been benched. Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan and Nikolaj "⁠niko⁠" Kristensen previously left the team after their individual deals came to an end, with the Israeli expected to join a higher-profile organization soon.

nexa returns after a four-month hiatus

nexa returns to OG's active roster after stepping back in February for unspecified personal reasons. regali is set to join the team on a free transfer after his previous organization, Copenhagen Flames, filed for bankruptcy and closed operations last month.

It's unclear why OG have opted to sign a new AWPer in place of degster, who was consistently the team's highest-rated player ever since the organization bought him out of Spirit last July. HLTV understands that the Russian has not committed to any other team at this point and would require to be bought out of his OG contract, on which he is believed to have over a year left.

regali previously stood in for degster at IEM Dallas and helped them reach a top-eight finish as their highest-rated player (1.14), as OG secured wins against FURIA and 9z and suffered losses to G2 and MOUZ.

NEOFRAG goes on the bench after having represented the organization since last May. His transition to the tier-one scene was rocky, as he went from being one of SINNERS' main stars on the tier-two circuit to an up-and-down player with OG, averaging a 0.99 rating in his time with the European squad.

OG still have two players left to complete the roster heading into the second part of 2023:

Really depends on specific slavic language. As for this case, it's probably read something like Yulian and to not confuse with possible reading as Dzhulian if written with J in english it is written with I instead.

I think this might confirm that degster (and maybe partially flamez as well) were part of the reason NEXA left on a break if the rumors are true that they were too lazy/didn't have the ambition to do what it takes to become a T1 team. NEXA probably had bigger goals and now I'm imagine NEXA will be huge part of the deciding players to be added. Ie. he will probably IGL again, but with the right minded players around him. I'm just glad Nofrag will finally be benched and was worried whether I'd have to change flair due to rebuild but as NEXA comes back I can keep my flair for a bit longer. :)

I can agree that nexa wants BAD to win as well as Fiku - and let me explain - i know he has the worst rating. But he is a support and willing to sacrifice his role in order to win. And he has very good aim as a support and thats why nexa believes in him as he is just 19 years old!!! Nexa chose fiku and neofrag to the previous lineup and is willing now to create new team with young core with good chemistry! Some polish sources says that Fiku is respected well in the organization as a selfless teammate. What cant be said about flamez or degster. But i understand degster because he was ALWAYS delivering, what cant be said about flamez I just hope everyone will be happy and we will see some interesting moves. I love Sexa but Regali is not a better awper than Degster and Fiku is just not that good . The quality of the team hinges on the last 2 players they get and knowing OG , I don't have high hopes . Probably another mediocre roster for them.
