The Australian in-game leader departs the active roster after over two years.

MOUZ have said their farewells to Christopher "⁠dexter⁠" Nong, bringing an end to the Australian's stint as a part of the German team's international roster that began in February 2021.

The 28-year-old's removal from the active roster follows in the wake of the benching of Jon "⁠JDC⁠" de Castro, and comes amid reports linking GamerLegion and former MOUZ NXT in-game leader Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek with a move to MOUZ.

dexter led MOUZ to a moderate level of success, helping them secure a semi-final placement at the IEM Rio Major 2022 and a first-place finish at Flashpoint 3. The team struggled for much of 2023, however, barring a runner-up finish at IEM Dallas just before the tournament break, often exiting tournaments prior to the playoffs and struggling deeper into Big Events.

"I am really thankful for the time we got to share with Chris in MOUZ," Jan Dominicus, Chief Business Development Offcer at MOUZ said on the organization's website. "Chris arrived in Hamburg under very difficult circumstances in the middle of COVID and started a new chapter in Germany.

"It cannot be overstated how much respect I have for the commitment he showed during his 2 1/2 years with the team. Chris' story with us is extraordinary and I am extremely happy that we got to do this adventure together. I am convinced Chris will be successful wherever he goes. We will follow his career and always cheer for him."

"Today I leave MOUZ," dexter said in a statement. "They were my first big organization but it really felt like it was my German family. The way everyone took such good care of me, from keeping me from going insane during COVID lockdowns, to the vibes and love you guys share with me, I will always cherish those moments for the rest of my life.

he did an amazing job, people shit on him too much. he came from probably the weakest region in all of cs and was able to take some heads in the meantime. the fact that he stayed on mouz for nearly 3 years is amazing in itself

Imo grayhound should get both dexter and jdc, cus it seems like jdc personality would fit with the boys and he is miles above anyone in the ausie scene rn alongside dexter. Awper should be either sico or alistair whichever dexter feels like is better

I don't not his exact roles but on inferno he was B anchor or B rotate. Vertigo he played B rotate Ancient he was the mid/redroom player And on T I think hes more of a pack player than a lurker but I cant be sure I only watched a couple mouz nxt games

One of my issues with dexter was having the AWP play more supportive roles, which is why acoR never performed well and by torszi is playing bad. Siuhy is gonna give torszi more space and it should be better for him going forward, this is his last chance though. If he doesn’t perform after three tourneys they’ll probably opt for degster.

Huge L from Mouz, Dexter is a great guy, great IGL (at least it seems like it from an outsider’s perspective) and they’ve thrown him out for a guy who’s had one good tournament, where EVERY big team underperformed. Really poor from them, totally classless.

I would even have ventured to rate him a more promising prospect for the reasons you listed ( more devicish and reliable ). Since then though he lost a LOT of steam, let's if he can regroup.

Yes I agree, dev1ce but more aggressive is the way I'd look at it. I think Siuhy works well with the type of awper that Torzsi and acoR are so fingers crossed. I want to see a strong mouz again and I want to see frozen winning stuff. It'd be especially Kool if they beat FaZe
