The German player will no longer start for MOUZ after nearly a year and a half with the team.

MOUZ has moved starting rifler Jon "⁠JDC⁠" de Castro to the inactive roster heading into the fall season.

The removal of the 23-year-old from the starting lineup comes at a time of change for the team, who are reportedly bringing in former academy player and in-game leader Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek during the transfer window.

The German rifler was brought into the MOUZ fold in March 2022, when he was brought up from the MOUZ NXT roster with which he won three WePlay Academy League trophies.

JDC came up hand picked by Dennis "⁠sycrone⁠" Nielsen, who joined the team from the academy and rejoined the 23-year-old with his former NXT teammates Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás before Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman was also brought up.

The jump up to the main team didn't start out particularly smoothly for JDC, as MOUZ missed out on making the Antwerp Major and were sent packing from IEM Dallas 2022 in 9-12th place.

In the summer of 2022 things started to look up for the team, however, as they made playoffs at IEM Cologne and ESL Pro League 16. JDC played his role for the most part and posted average numbers throughout.

MOUZ continued with a dream semi-final run at the IEM Rio Major, but plummeted at the start of 2023. The crisis led to several group stage exits and couldn't even be salvaged with a grand final run at IEM Dallas, where JDC posted a career-high 1.12 rating in his last event with the team.

Could be interesting with Dexter as secondary caller. He has a lot of mechanical skill and he could focus on his own game more, maybe he can frag out.

well he has gotten a lot better in the skill department since coming to EU, he gets highlights often nowadays and is capable of top fragging, so it would be interesting if mouz management take this approach of benching JDC and moving dexter to support, i never even thought of this being a thing so im super hopeful all of a sudden
