BIG part ways with tiziaN

The 27-year-old's five-year stint with the organization has come to an end.

BIG have announced Tizian "⁠tiziaN⁠" Feldbusch's departure from the organization, bringing his chapter with the German combine to a close more than five years after his arrival. The team had previously allowed tiziaN to explore his options in the market in March, but the 27-year-old was unable to find a new home outside of BIG.

tiziaN initially joined BIG from ALTERNATE aTTaX in February 2018, breaking the transfer fee record for a German player up to that point. He was a part of the squad that claimed first-place finishes at ESEA MDL Season 27 Europe Finals and the same season's Global Challenge before helping the German combine reach the grand finals of ESL One Cologne 2018.

BIG struggled to maintain that same level of performance over the next two years, and tiziaN had to wait until January 2020 to claim another trophy at DreamHack Open Leipzig. That iteration of the German squad performed well during the online era, claiming trophies from tournaments such as DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Europe, cs_summit 6 Europe, and ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe.

k1to returns to BIG's main roster in place of tiziaN

tiziaN was eventually removed from the active roster during the summer of 2022, replaced by a returning Nils "⁠k1to⁠" Gruhne. The 27-year-old then spent the next 11 months on the bench while occasionally making an appearance for BIG Academy at events such as WePlay Academy League Season 6 and BetBoom Playlist Freedom 2023.

The news of tiziaN's departure comes during a transitional period for BIG. The organization revamped its senior lineup in June with the signing of Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski as well as the promotion of Elias "⁠s1n⁠" Stein and David "⁠prosus⁠" Hesse from the academy team, and recently revealed that the team would be calling in English.

Gade and Xantares both spoke a bit German, mantu doesnt afaik. Also the "youngsters" all speak good English, not so much for the old lineup. It was an issue back in the day but younger generation has been growing up with English and BIG has to make big changes if they want to stay relevant. The dream of an all German org is over, they have to open up to international players imo.

Gade spoke German, I believe. When xantares was there, they called in English but as he decided to leave, they seized the opportunity to go full German. It just didn't work out so far so they decided to go for the best player they could regardless of his nationality.

u right . tizian = hide long pit out on d2 after syrson claps anyone who peeks door faven = anchor some shit spot on a site tizian = throw shit flashes and watch tabsen/xantares go kill (occasionally fail a 1v1 clutch where his opponent <20hp) faven = dry entry a site, get baited by krimbo and watch tabsen get murked by xantares also, in no way does my reasoning imply karrigan < shittiN. karrigan hits a good third of the hard-entries on T. On CT he usually puts himself at risk to set up broky. his stats are still probably better than shizian's 1/10 good maps.

smart player, good aim and willing to play the roles that often give you a bad rating. signing him would be an upgrade for pretty much every tier 2-3 team.

I like tizi but you are smoking something. He has under average aim and you hasnt even played for a long time now. Why should any team take a risk in picking him up, when there are young prodigies/faceit demons coming out every month. He is smart and a great teamplayer, but thats not enough.

I still think Tizi is one of the most underrated players. In Big he was only allowed to play the supporter, sacrifice himself for "Info" and always like to defend himself against a rush on the spot, alone. Mechanically he is better than most in T1, humanly he is TS. I just wish him a team where he can play freely. Many will then be surprised. I always will support this handsome guy. GOTIZI

they should've stayed together with xantares and syrson, it was a solid core. but if they wanted to leave and do their own project what can you do. that core with krimbo and maybe s1n or prosus would look really good.

Thats true but Xani wanted to leave so.....Faven looked like a good replacement so its unlucky.Lets see what the future will bring us.Hoping for a better BIG
