Endpoint sign AZUWU, return to British core

The British rifler joins Endpoint after spending the last three weeks as a free agent.

Endpoint have announced the signing of British rifler Oscar "⁠AZUWU⁠" Bell. The organization signed the 19-year-old from free agency after his release from Coalesce, leaving only the AWPer's spot available on the roster.

The move marks Endpoint's return to a British core following their decision to go international in November 2021, when they signed Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz to replace Thomas "⁠Thomas⁠" Utting. The organization began a rebuild in the 2023 summer off-season after an underwhelming start to the year, during which they sold the Israeli star to ENCE and lost their grip on the ESL Premiership crown.

AZUWU first put his name on the map in the British scene in 2022 while competing for 1PIN. The British squad impressed in the lower echelons of European Counter-Strike by winning SCL Season 6 and Kayzr League Fall 2022 before the roster's acquisition by Coalesce in January 2023.

The rifler remained with the organization for the next six months, competing in the ESL Challenger circuit and various CCT events. AZUWU and company also attended Intel epic38 in February and successfully wrestled the trophy away from Viperio after a three-map series in the final. Coalesce's newest chapter did not last long as the organization released its players in June following the expiration of their contracts.

The 19-year-old currently averages a 1.11 LAN rating over the last 12 months, which includes the last two editions of Intel epic as well as Insomnia69. His overall rating in 2023 clocks in at 1.13 and is accompanied by an impressive 1.17 impact score.

"Oscar is a dedicated player with a great attitude and was our first target for our rebuild," read the statement released by Endpoint. "Endpoint has a history of developing young talent and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve working with our long-standing players MiGHTYMAX and Surreal, along with fellow young grinder HeavyGod."

Endpoint also admitted that the 19-year-old old had been in their sights for a few years. "I was first made aware of Oscar around three years ago and have had him on our watch list ever since," commented the organization's COO Peter Thompson. "It’s been great to see his progress over the years and with him being in close proximity to the Endpoint HQ it allows for us to work closely together and develop him into the star player we believe he will be!"
