Media: paiN close in on kauez

paiN and FURIA could come to a resolution soon after weeks of negotiations.

kauez will be one of three reinforcements for paiN this summer

paiN, a team very much on the rise in the first half of 2023, is undergoing major structural changes ahead of the second half of the year. Their latest move involves FURIA Academy's Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk, according to a report by Dust2.com.br.

The negotiations between paiN and FURIA have been ongoing for weeks, per the report, as the former wanted to buy the player while the latter just wanted to loan him out due to his perceived potential. Eventually, it appears FURIA have given in and will sell the player as per his wishes.

kauez had, at one point, even been regarded as a possible addition to FURIA's main team during their own restructuring, but after the signings of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes that will no longer be the case.

Media: FURIA bench drop

kauez is set to join up with paiN Academy player Cássio "cass1n" Santos and Fluxo's Lucas "lux" Meneghini in a revamped lineup with only star player Felipe "skullz" Medeiros and IGL Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt remaining.

From the previous roster Romeu "zevy" Rocco could be going to Fluxo alongside benched IGL Vinicios "PKL" Coelho while Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato, who was recently benched alonside Wesley "hardzao" Lopes, is headed to 00NATION.

With the reinforcements, paiN's lineup will be the following:

Brazil Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
Brazil Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt
Brazil Cássio "cass1n" Santos
Brazil Lucas "lux" Meneghini
Brazil Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk

Brazil Henrique "rikz" Waku (coach)

Brazil Wesley "hardzao" Lopes (beched)

Good addition on kauez, he's a headshot machine. But i dont think cass1n will be able to perform at high level as a awp, if they are serious about their project they should go after a better AWPer.

I think the price for Kauez is not so low, which makes it impossible to look for a high-level AWP, even because it doesn't have a name that stands out in the BR scene

Nqz? difficult, he didn't prove himself much in 00nation, and his buyout must be very high

00nation is a career destroyer, literally every player was better before joining this team. In nqz's case, saying he was far better before is a understatement.

history is cheap but not good (let's face it) since HEN1 is old, I think it goes against what PaiN wants. Well, it might not be the best choice, but I can understand why they made that decision.

that's the question, you don't know when the youngster will go from a prospect to a consolidated player, it's in how you're going to make decisions with him in the team, and how good he really is, Cass1n proved himself in the Academy of PaiN despite having failed on other teams.

I would love to see him in Furia together with FalleN. Furia should've +FalleN +Skullz instead of Chelo I think he is too good to not play in the #1 BR team

i'm not saying it wont work, what i mean is that their team was getting better and better, everyone was realizing that, and for no reason they decide to swap most of their players for new ones who havent proved themselves at the highest level. can it work? of course. but the point is that they changed a team that was clearly on a rise for some guys who have never played tier 1/2 events consistently

Neither of them failed. T1 was just trash, unfortunatelly. Fluxo didn't have the synergy since day one, so we must blame the project instead the players.

mate even skullz was garbage at teamone, do you really trust that cass1n being bad at teamone is any indicative? as for lux, i think he deserves another shot cuz fluxo never was that good to begin with

what the hell is going on with Pain, they finally managed to build a solid and consistent tier 2 roster with young players such skullz, zevy and even hardzao that still have so much to grow, great sinergy, and biguzera that is still adapting to the IGL role even though they already got some good results, and now they decide to completely rebuild their team?? They were literally the only Brazilian team that didn't need to do anything, just keep improving, maybe one change at most if there was good market opportunity, like changing Saffee for Zevy and yet here they are making a huge gamble by changing 3 of their pieces for 3 young and unproved players... unless Fluxo paid a stupid high amount for their players, and they just want to cash out, this doesn't make any sense

I think Fluxo made a huge offer to buy these players and Pain big ranks wanted money. Then they gone after young cheap promisses. Is more about a money thing.

I mean, they just spent a lot to bring zevy and skullz, what should indicate they were serious about investing in their csgo team, and I doubt Fluxo would much more than that to get technically pain's 3 lowest rating players, probably they end up around even considering their initial investment, maybe got a little more but that's it... I don't know if they end up regreting their previous investment (even though the team did well) or what, but it's definitely odd

+1 The only acceptable reason is for paiN to get money swaping zevy for him. I mean zevy is way more proven than lux and fluxo has lots of money so maybe thats the case
