Ambush have moved their entire roster to the bench and are stepping back from Counter-Strike indefinitely, the Danish organization has revealed.

Ambush reveal roster featuring NaToSaphiX, suNny

Ambush only played in a handful of competitions during their three-month stint with the organization. These outings were mostly limited to ESEA Cash Cups and online qualifiers for bigger events.

The European outfit struggled to find their footing in these tournament runs, finishing the Gamers8 2023 Europe Open Qualifier 2 in joint last place and crashing out of European Pro League Season 9 with a 0-2 record following losses to Enterprise and ECLOT.

Ambush withdraws from Counter-Strike after close to five years in Valve's shooter. The organization sported a number of rosters during that time, ranging from one with Rasmus "⁠raalz⁠" Steensborg and Danny "⁠BERRY⁠" Krüger in 2019-2020 to an all-French squad featuring the likes of David "⁠devoduvek⁠" Dobrosavljevic and Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia in 2022.

When I look at his stats I feel like he only managed to work well in Mouz, like other teams weren't able to utilise him properly. Which would prove my theory that it's not about the player, it's more about the team as a whole

+1 The mix of players in mouz just suited his playstyle best. He could be the aggressive player with team that really supported him 100%. He could push with chrisj while styko supported and oskar and ropz owned. In ence he became the igl and everything went down from there. All the roles were horrible and it seemed that his convidence went downhill too.

what exactly were his bad choices? iirc going to ence made sense at the time, its just that they sucked after aleksib left. fpx was also a decent team with potential. to me he just wasnt able to get into a decent team after - and he was washed the moment he joined ence

Benching himself from Mouz is the worst. They would have kept him in the Karrigan roster but he himself decided to leave to play with allu. Joining ENCE would have potentially been smart if they replaced someone else other than Aleksib (like Aerial or xseveN). If he knew beforehand ENCE was gonna kick Aleksib to make space for him why the fuck would he join that mess of a roster? Even the community could see from a mile away that it was doomed from the start.

youre right, i think he did bench himself, but i cant remember exactly. i think it was crazy that he was supposed to igl in ence, even though he had next to no experience doing so. i also think him joining ence wasnt a bad decision in itself, but rather letting him igl instead of someone like allu. to its a mix between bad decision making and just being extremely unlucky.

Do you remember mouz made a roster change and wanted to kick chrisJ and Ropz and keep sunny? But they changed their mind with a short statement that something happened behind the team with sunny. So they brought ropz and chrisj back and kicked him instead.
