Vorborg joins Preasy as coach

The Dane reunites with Nico "⁠nicoodoz⁠" Tamjidi and Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali in the new Danish project.

Vorborg rounds out the new Preasy lineup

Preasy have announced the signing of former Evil Geniuses member Daniel "⁠Vorborg⁠" Vorborg as their new CS:GO team's coach.

The 31-year-old is yet another former Copenhagen Flames employee to join the newly-established Danish organization. Three of the five Preasy players Thomas "⁠TMB⁠" Bundsbæk, refrezh, and nicoodoz previously represented the Flames over the past several years when Vorborg was there either in the capacity of the Director of Esport or Head Coach.

Vorborg also reunites with Steffen Thomsen, Preasy's Director of Esports, who previously acted as CEO of Copenhagen Flames until the organization was forced to file for bankruptcy earlier this year.

With Vorborg at the helm Preasy hope to emulate the successes of the Flames. The organization has put together a lineup boasting a combination of young talent in Alexander "⁠tOPZ⁠" Miklagard, TMB, and Alexander "⁠Altekz⁠" Givskov, and more experienced members in the coach and nicoodoz, who attended PGL Majors in Stockholm and Antwerp together and made it to the playoffs at the latter, as well as refrezh.

The full lineup now looks as follows:

Energive ApS. 2020/21 result -226K DKK 2021/22 result -626k DKK Gross profit: 5,3M DKK. Staff expenses: 5,7M DKK A few millions in assets, so looks like their economy is "okay" I guess. I don't really see how they make enough to support an entire CSGO team though. I wonder how much they pay.

It's basically CPH Flames 2.0. The Sports Director, Steffen Thomsen, founded CPH Flames. Vorborg was the coach, and TMB, nicodooz and refrezh were all on CPH Flames too.
