Astralis Talent complete roster with kroK, ANSG1
The incoming duo finalizes Astralis Talent's starting five after the team underwent a major overhaul throughout the off-season.
Astralis Talent have announced the additions of Emil "kroK" Wiedemann and Richart "ANSG1" Saleela Nielsen to their starting lineup.
The incoming duo subsequently complete the academy roster's off-season overhaul. A number of players either parted ways with the organization or were picked up by other teams during the tournament break, with Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen notably being the only player to remain from the previous iteration of the roster.
kroK joins Astralis Talent after spending the past four months with Atlantic, where he averaged a dead-even 1.00 rating over 58 maps. Notably, the 18-year-old links back up with Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen in his latest venture, with the Dane also having played for Atlantic before he was first picked up by Astralis Talent on July 27.
ANSG1, meanwhile, comes into Astralis Talent as quite the unknown quantity. The Dane is his new team's youngest member at just 16 years old, and has also recorded just two HLTV-featured maps during his career so far.
"Even though it is a brand new team and things do take time, kroK and ANSG1 each bring energy desire and talent that we will be obvious from day one," said Astralis' Sports Director, Kasper Straube, in the organization's press release. "At the same time, they have both shown a huge commitment to coming to Astralis, and if we can just transfer some of that motivation to the team, it we won’t be lacking on positive energy.
"MistR, together with kiR, will be the experienced players who, together with the three young guns JBOEN, kroK, and ANSG1, will form the new Astralis Talent team. Developing talent is not a thing you do overnight, but this is a really exciting team and I do believe we will meet our own high ambitions."
