PGL reschedule Copenhagen Major NA closed qualifier

The tournament organizer moved the closed qualifier forward by a week.

PGL have changed the North American closed qualifier for PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 to take place between January 12-14. The new dates mean the qualifier will be played a week earlier than first announced in June.

The new schedule means that the North American teams that moved past the open qualifier phase (January 8-11) will be immediately thrown into the new stage, looking to claim spots at the Regional Major Ranking event in February.

PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen will be the first Valve-sponsored event in Counter-Strike 2, which the developers said will be released in the summer of 2023. While there is no official release schedule for the new title, the roadmap for the Danish tournament suggests the game will be released before the new year.
