Roobet Cup 2023 announced
The $250,000 online tournament returns for a second iteration.

Roobet Cup is back for 2023, with the second edition of the online event set to take place October 25-November 2. A total of 16 teams are slated to participate in the tournament, with $150,000 going to the eventual winner.
Four teams are currently signed up to participate in the tournament. The highest-ranked at the moment is Astralis, whose recent uptick in form has seen them rise to No. 6 in the world rankings, and Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG and FURIA are the other names committed to playing in the event.
The tournament will kick off with a GSL-style group stage, where the 16 teams will be split across four groups to battle for playoff spots. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where a single-elimination bracket will decide the ultimate winner. All matches will be best-of-three.
The inaugural Roobet Cup was played at the end of June last year, and saw 16 teams battle it out for their share of the $250,000 prize pool, including three of the top five teams in the world at the time. Plenty of the favorites made it deep in the tournament, including the likes of Cloud9 and FaZe, but it was surprise package BIG who took the title in the end. The German squad will be hoping to replicate their underdog run this year.
The teams currently signed up for Roobet Cup 2023 are:
