CCT North Europe Series 7BIG beat Monte to win CCT North Europe Series 7
The German-majority roster took home the title after receiving a direct invite to the playoffs.
BIG secured the CCT North Europe Series 7 title after claiming a 2-0 victory over Monte in the event's grand final, handily winning their Vertigo pick (16-8) before taking things over the line on Anubis (16-11) to earn the $22,000 top prize.
The victory will help BIG build some confidence ahead of ESL Pro League Season 18 after some shaky early results, and this win, in particular, will be helpful in Malta as they will also face Monte in their opening match.

Both BIG and Monte didn't have to fight through the tournament's group stage, instead receiving invites directly to the Round of 16. Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz's side only narrowly prevailed in their first two series, requiring all three maps to get things done versus Endpoint and SAW and only scraping through on the decider maps of both series in overtime. Their semi-final versus los kogutos was much more clear-cut, however, with wins on Ancient and Mirage putting them through to the grand final.
Meanwhile, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev and company faced some adversity in their first match against Space as, despite claiming a 2-0 victory, they were pushed the distance on both maps. Monte's subsequent game against Preasy went to three maps but their wins were much more one-sided, while their semi-final versus Bad News Eagles saw the teams win their own picks 16-13 before Monte ran away with the Ancient decider.
BIG have Karim "Krimbo" Moussa to thank for such a comfortable victory on their map pick: The 20-year-old rifler racked up a 1.94 rating, +3 first kill differential, and boasting an 18-7 K-D by the end of the first 15 rounds to help his side to a 9-6 lead, which they converted into a 16-8 win shortly after.
tabseN and David "prosus" Hesse then took over the T and CT sides of Anubis, respectively, allowing BIG to steal away Monte's map pick 16-11 to clinch a quick victory in the series.
