The Canadian coach will return to the server for the first time in 18 months.

daps will play against Virtus.pro

Liquid have announced that Damian "⁠daps⁠" Steele will replace Robert "⁠Patsi⁠" Isyanov for their ESL Pro League Season 18 opener against Virtus.pro, confirming an earlier report by Dust2.us. The North American organization has also indicated that Patsi is expected to rejoin the team for their subsequent matches in Malta, pending "other factors."

Patsi will miss Liquid's first match due to visa complications, as the Russian rifler faced travel restrictions to Malta because of extended delays in obtaining a US visa.

daps brings a wealth of playing experience to the team despite his absence from the server for the past year and a half. The 30-year-old played in two Majors and is most known for his time as the IGL of NRG, with whom he won cs_summit 3 and IEM Shanghai 2018.
