ESL Pro Series returns to the Nordic

Electronic Sports League confirms that ESL Pro Series will be returning to the Nordic region.

Just one week ago, it was reported that ESL Pro Series was set to return to the Nordic region. The host of the league, Electronic Sports League, today confirms that a second season of ESL Pro Series is on its way to the Nordic countries.

The second season will feature just one game, being Counter-Strike 1.6. The prize pool for the season will be €10,000 and feature twelve teams participating from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

There will furthermore be an ESL Amateur Series Divisions, where the teams that won’t make it to the ESL Pro Series, can fight for access to play in the following season of ESL Pro Series.

Not much more information has been released as of now, but information regarding signups, scheduling and how to qualify will be announced in the coming days.

biggest e-sport league, which provides us so many leagues, events in every country such like Extreme Masters, ENC, Pro Series, IFNG and nation ladders, company which is in e-sport from start and even I can say created esport and you kid say it sucks?!?! WHAT THE HELL?! Imagine how many events there would be without it

But who is continuously pumping money into the Counter-Strike tournaments? And gives thousands of people the possibility to climb up the EAS or Ladders? CPL just makes some gui's today because they have kept house their company into the ground.

lol I can not believe my eyes. This is a great chance for many players and it brings forward the whole e-sports. I'm sure this league will have many viewers. Everyone profit by that, the players, new talents and of cause all of you !

There's only so much you can do with a regular league that isn't an ESL EPS. There is no incentive to participate in the ESL league for the top teams because it doesn't give you an automatic spot in the Continental finals. There's a different tournament for that so the teams just focus on that. The prize pot is miniscule for ESL Invite (the top ESL league in America). It's a shame they can't put money into their league in America. That said - it's run by a dedicated group that does a good job, but ESL just doesn't give them the resources they need to run it. Completely ignoring America.
