YaLLa to run $450,000 tournament series with finals in UAE

The tournament's LAN finals will be in June 2024 after months of online qualifiers.

YaLLa Esports has announced a new esports tournament series named Compass with a total prize pool of $450,000. The tournament operator is based in Dubai, UAE, and headed by a Finnish Founder and CEO.

The tournament will have $400,000 dedicated to the LAN finals, scheduled for June 5-9, 2024, and $25,000 for each of the two qualifiers, which will run online in Europe on October 16-December 14, 2023, and January 15-May 2, 2024.

Compass will also have a local hero slot, which will be awarded to the winner of a MENA Championship. This team will join the two from the online qualifiers and nine sides that will be invited directly to the 12-team event.

The LAN finals will begin with two BO1 round-robin groups of six, from which the top three teams will qualify for a single-elimination progressive playoff bracket with four teams playing the first round and two waiting for the victors in the semi-finals.
