CCT series moves to Counter-Strike 2
Most prominent organizers have now made the switch to Counter-Strike 2.

The organizers behind the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) have announced that the tournament series is making the transition from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2.
The first CCT event in the new game will be the East Europe Series 3, which kicks off on Saturday, October 14 with the Swiss stage and boasts names such as Sprout, 00NATION and Falcons.
As the biggest circuit on the tier-two scene operating across multiple continents, CCT was one of the last prominent series to make the move. Most prominent organizers have already switched, and even the first local LAN tournaments are taking place in the new game.
"The transition is being made at this point now that all internal processes are updated to provide the best possible team and viewer experience, as well as deliver the data quality standards our partners have come to expect of us," GRID's Head of Tournaments, Fabian Logemann, has told HLTV regarding the decision to wait until now.
CCT's move to CS2 will leave only a handful of ongoing, smaller tournaments on CS:GO. Once these conclude later this month, the vast majority of the competitive scene will have moved to Counter-Strike 2.
The tier-one scene will soon follow with the first big LAN at IEM Sydney, kicking off on October 16, as well as the first online events, the Roobet Cup and Thunderpick World Championship.
