BIG annihilate FURIA in Thunderpick opener

Heroic also found success as they opened Group D with a win over Nouns.

BIG have bounced back from their quarter-final defeat in Roobet Cup earlier today by dismantling FURIA 13-1 and 13-6 to kick off their Thunderpick World Championship campaign.

FURIA picked up just one round in their T sided first half of both maps, and all four pistol rounds meant BIG reached a scoreline of 12-1 on both occasions to put victory beyond doubt.

Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski was the driving force behind BIG's dominance on Nuke with a 21-4 K-D and 2.38 rating as he disrupted FURIA's hapless offense time and time again on the AWP.

On Ancient, it was Elias "⁠s1n⁠" Stein in B Cave and Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz in Middle who delivered the pain to FURIA, both ending above a 1.83 rating as BIG won the series on the back of their CT sides alone.

Earlier today in Group D, HEROIC battled past Nouns to earn a 2-1 victory and set up a winner's bout with BIG at 13:00 on October 31.

Their win came after convincing victories on their pick of Nuke and the decider, Vertigo, as they bounced back from a narrow 13-11 defeat on Nouns' pick of Mirage.
