CS Asia Championships 2023ENCE breeze past TYLOO in CAC opener
Despite fielding a stand-in, the favorites had no trouble in the best-of-one opening match.
ENCE beat TYLOO in a best-of-one opening match of Group A at the CS Asia Championships and secured a place in the playoffs of the $500,000 tournament taking place in China.
Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and company will play the winner of Astralis vs. Lynn Vision just a few hours later for a semi-final ticket, with TYLOO facing the loser in a match for survival.

ENCE are playing at the tournament with a stand-in, former iNation member Vladan "VLDN" Radević, after Paweł "dycha" Dycha was unable to obtain a Chinese visa, but that didn't stop the European team from cruising to a comfortable victory to kick off the event.
Guy "NertZ" Iluz led the way as ENCE dominated on the Nuke defense, stopping several disjointed TYLOO upper hits and going on the aggressive in lobby a couple of times to switch things up at just the right time. Stand-in VLDN also had a couple of good moments in the first half, as did everyone else on the favorites.
Ultimately, TYLOO had too tall of a task ahead of them after picking up just two rounds in the first half, but still made a solid effort on the back of Qianhao "Moseyuh" Chen's flashy quad-kill and 1v2 clutch in the second pistol round.
The 18-year-old's 16 kills in just eight rounds were not enough, with ENCE recovering a botched anti-forcebuy in the second half with a couple of spot-on mid-round calls.
