Cloud9 trounce GamerLegion in BetBoom Dacha opener

The Russian-majority side decimated their opposition in a quick two-maps series.

Cloud9 won the opening series at BetBoom Dacha after an hourlong delay, but gave the tournament operator a break by speeding through their match against GamerLegion in a series that ended 13-5, 13-3.

GamerLegion won the opening pistol round on the attack and the CT pistol round on Overpass, and followed each of those with a victory. Other than that, however, they just won one gun round throughout as Konstantin "⁠groove⁠" Pikiner's men stomped their way to victory without a hitch.

On their map pick, Mirage, Cloud9 were even more ruthless. They won the pistol round on the attack and went up 2-0 before GamerLegion tallied their first. From there on out they allowed the European mixture two more in the half, but in the end that was it as the Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov-led squad marched to a quick 2-0 with a 13-3 scoreline.
