The Polish captain has inked a long-term contract with the German organization heading into 2024.

Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek has extended his contract with MOUZ in a multi-year, long-term deal. The news was revealed by the player on HLTV Confirmed and subsequently announced by the German organization in an accompanying statement.

siuhy first joined MOUZ in June 2021 as a part of their academy project, MOUZ NXT, with whom he won the first four seasons of WePlay Academy League with rosters that featured Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás, Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman, Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo, and Dennis "⁠sycrone⁠" Nielsen.

After a Cinderella run to the finals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major with GamerLegion, siuhy ultimately returned home to MOUZ to reunite with his former NXT teammates, with the simultaneous addition of Jimpphat paying off in spades as the team won the last big CS:GO event, ESL Pro League Season 18, just three months into their time together.

siuhy continued to demonstrate excellence with his calling and MOUZ's level remained steady at the start of CS2, making the semi-finals of IEM Sydney despite using a stand-in, and following that up with a runners-up finish at CS Asia Championships.

His contract extension comes at a time where MOUZ have just lost superstar rifler David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský to FaZe, leaving them with a hole to fill as they look toward the PGL Copenhagen Major at the start of 2024. They are slated to use Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin as a stand-in for their upcoming World Final appearance.

“The main reason for me renewing my contract was that I know what the players that I’m surrounded by are capable of," the 21-year-old captain said in a statement on MOUZ's website. "I've known these guys for a long time now and we get along really well, we are able to balance work life with enjoying our time together outside of the server.

"I've always preached that chemistry and atmosphere are important to me and that is exactly what I can find here. Also, working with MOUZ and everyone that is working with us is just very enjoyable, it's like a family.

"I want to become a positive mentor for others in the team, to be able to show others what I experienced and also grow with them along the way."

NO i hope they go the route of APEKS last year before the major. (shox, MICHU , xicoz blablabla...) try 1 week or so a new player , until someone actually fits well. They can try jks if G2 gives a loaned to them , if they like , buyout.. brollan rn

Clueless. They just sold frozen, did the same with Ropz, they become a top team in the world and immediately sell their stars. They resigned him so he can’t leave for nothing when his contract ends, this guarantees they’ll be able to sell him when someone needs an igl. That’s the whole point of them pressuring these kids to resign, now he’s stuck on a feeder team with no aspirations to become #1 for years. The younger players always fall for this

Ofc lol, top5 players don't grow on trees. But I agree it's huge loss and almost impossible to replace, but if someone can do it....it's deffo MOUZ who proved time and time again they can be competitive while losing their best player pretty often (niko, ropz, now frozen)

I think the only solution is to find a young talent, like m0nesy, but let's face it, the chances of that are roughly 0%. With a few exceptions among the currently active tier1 players, they would all probably be downgrade. I hope that perhaps with the new player, team cohesion will improve, compensating for Frozen's absence. Btw, I'm glad that Frozen is continuing his career with one of, if not the best, team. He has deserved a team like this for years, a team which is among the favorites in every competition.

+1 been cheering for the guy to make it out of CZ/SK scene since 2016 extatus times since I have some connection with Czech people, finally he made it to the top. There probably isn’t better team for him to join. Let’s hope it will be perfect fit.

Maybe add jks to MOUZ, make jimp the new frozen, and have jks anchor sites, his experience would be invaluable to this young core, hes probably the best option for MOUZ for now anyways

+1 Jimi has already been showing he is capable of holding his own and making big plays like Frozen did. JKS is also a huge free agent right now that would be a boon to any team right now but would fit well in MOUZ like that
