ESL Challenger Atlanta groups, opening matchups revealed
Complexity and Monte headline the North American event, scheduled for next week.

ESL has revealed the groups and the first-round matchups for the upcoming Challenger event that will be held as part of DreamHack Atlanta from December 15-17. The $100,000 tournament will feature eight teams from across the world, five of which are currently inside the top 15 in the world rankings.
Apeks vs GamerLegion serves up as perhaps the most interesting match of the opening round as it is the only one with teams that are fairly close in the rankings. Monte, who recently won ESL Challenger Jönköping, will face No. 64-ranked BESTIA, while Complexity will go up against The MongolZ.
Many will be curious to see the M80 roster in action against Virtus.pro. The North American team has been making strides in the right direction since signing Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich as an AWper, and won the most recent ESEA Cash Cup in North America after beating teams like Wildcard, NRG and Take Flyte.
As usual in ESL Challenger tournaments, only the opening and the winners’ matches will be best-of-one clashes. The remaining stages, including the grand final, will feature a best-of-three format.
