TYLOO and TheMongolz qualify for ESL Pro League 19

Lynn Vision, the highest-ranked team in Asia, fell short in the playoffs’ consolidation stage.

TYLOO qualify for EPL 19 in Malta

TYLOO and The MongolZ have locked up spots in ESL Pro League Season 19 after advancing to the grand final of ESL Challenger League Season 46 Asia-Pacific. The two teams will contest the grand final on Sunday, with the winner earning $15,000.

TYLOO will be in Pro League for the first time since Season 16 (when it played in the Conference Stage) after beating Newhappy and Lynn Vision by 2-1 scorelines in the upper bracket. The Chinese giants, who are currently ranked 30th in the world, recently attended the CS Asia Championships and ESL Challenger Jönköping, failing to win a match in either tournament.

The MongolZ’s campaign, meanwhile, has been full of twists and turns. After finishing the group stage in fourth place with an 8-3 record, the Mongolian team was sent to the lower bracket after a 2-1 loss to Newhappy. With no margin for error, The MongolZ survived elimination matches against FyR, GR, Newhappy and Lynn Vision to secure a top-two finish in the tournament.

The loss in the consolidation final comes as a heavy blow for Lynn Vision, the highest-ranked team in Asia at No.26. Last month, the Chinese side failed to qualify for ESL Challenger Atlanta after a shock quarter-final defeat to world No.198 The Huns.

The Asia-Pacific ESL Challenger League will come to a close on Sunday with the best-of-five grand final, scheduled for 13:00 . This will be a rematch of November 18’s ESL Challenger Atlanta closed qualifier grand final, which The MongolZ won 2-1.

I think their main goal is to replace advent with aumaN. aumaN should learn how the team plays and how advent calls thus playing a few matches with advent.

LVG losing 2 straight important games after going through the entire challenger league undefeated. Classic. This is only the umpteenth time LVG are flawless against domestic competition only in games that don't matter and then fall apart the moment any sort of pressure to qualify for anything is put upon them. I'm so disappointed because this team is the best asian team, but they have terrible nerve control in important games.

eh, technically second best cause Mongolz still reigns supreme in the continent. TYLOO and LVG basically just go back and forth. Like the recent games we've seen from them like in CAC where TYLOO monstrously choked once again after doing so a few days prior for a closed qualifier that they wont even be able to attend cause no more spots for China. And this is another one of those moments. And will probably happen again at the RMR. It just happens to TYLOO's roster far more often. But anyways, they'll likely be back anyways and will probably start preparing to try to qualify for the RMR.

I hope great things for LVG, they have the best team in asia, i swear, they win against all local opponents more often than not, they just to get it all together when it matters most... during qualifiers for the big events like major and pro league. Better luck next pro league to them.

When will asia have some top contenders? They have never had a team that could win big events, yet they dominate almost every other e-sport

when they stop having a match fixing problem and/or also start studying how to have discipline and a CT side. As far as anyone knows, only Mongolz has any shred of proper consistency since they play more like an EU team compared to other asian teams. Still has the typical Asian cs problems tho like choking and a shit CT side.
