donk named BetBoom Dacha MVP

The 16-year-old was in stunning form in his first international LAN.

Russian prodigy Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of BetBoom Dacha 2023 by HLTV.org after Spirit defeated Virtus.pro 3-2 in the grand final in Dubai.

It would have been impossible to imagine a better first international LAN from the Russian teenager, who has emerged as one of the most exciting young prospects in the Counter-Strike scene.

He averaged a tournament-leading 1.31 rating, that figure slightly dragged down by his 1.19 rating in the best-of-five grand final, in which Spirit came back from 0-2 down to clinch the title.

Virtus.pro were something of a kryptonite for donk, who had his four lowest-rated maps of the tournament against Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali’s side, but he found his footing when his team needed him the most, posting 1.25+ ratings in the last three maps of the final.

The 16-year-old topped BetBoom Dacha’s leaderboards in eight categories besides rating, including damage per round (92.1), kills per round (0.89) and Impact (1.36). He also ranked second for percentage of rounds with at least one kill (56.8%) and third for KAST (76.3%).

donk becomes the second-youngest MVP winner in history at 16 years and 10 months old. The record holder remains Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo, who earned the StarSeries i-League Season 6 MVP at 16 years and seven months old.
