MOUZ eliminate Heroic in Abu Dhabi

The team with one temporary addition has sent the one with three home.

MOUZ will live on at BLAST World Final after dispatching HEROIC 2-0 (Nuke 13-7, Mirage 13-5).

Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek will be pleased by his team's performance after a tough loss to G2 yesterday, as MOUZ stayed in control throughout the best-of-three.

Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin had his best map to date in black-and-red as he dominated Outside on Nuke, while Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás was excellent throughout the BO3 as he made good use of his aggressive AWP against an unpracticed HEROIC squad.

MOUZ now march on to a quarter-final showdown against Cloud9 in the first match of the day on December 15.

HEROIC end the season as expected, after the turmoil that followed Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller's exit that ended in a full breakdown of the roster. They have been linked with ENCE's star trio as they explore multiple options for the 2024 season, with just Rasmus "⁠sjuush⁠" Beck and René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen contracted for next year.

Departing coach Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström gave a few words to James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks on his journey in HEROIC: "I started in Stockholm and it's been a lot of fun. It's been a rollercoaster, we could have won a few more events but I'm so proud of the boys. We went from onliners, and went on to play some really impressive CS on the big stages."

Nuke began with Brollan and torzsi dominating the Yard, and though HEROIC found some afterplants and success rushing A they understandably did not have the tactical depth to build upon for a map victory.

Mirage was a similar tale, where MOUZ allowed the map to be dictated by individual ability but emerged victorious in those duels. This time it was siuhy joining torzsi at the top of the board as MOUZ traded so effectively that losing 11 opening duels is resigned to a mere footnote.
