Vitality beat NAVI to set up grand final with FaZe

The top two sides in the world are set to clash for the final trophy of the year.

A beautiful mezii clutch ensured Vitality got the job done in two maps

Vitality have booked their spot in the final of the BLAST Premier World Final thanks to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Natus Vincere, besting their opponents on Anubis (13-5) and Inferno (13-9).

Vitality have had a smooth ride through the tournament thus far, and nothing changed in this semi-final. Anubis was a completely one-sided battering and although Inferno was a little closer, a special William "⁠mezii⁠" Merriman clutch continued his strong tournament showing and ensured a shot at the trophy for his team.

The grand final everyone predicted before the tournament has now been realized as the two best teams in the world right now, FaZe and Vitality, are set to clash on Sunday.

The series kicked off on Anubis, and Natus Vincere had very little to show for themselves. Vitality started on the favored T side and Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire and co. took full advantage, racking up eight offensive rounds with ease. A pistol win ensured smooth sailing for Vitality on their CT side, and they duly secured a 13-5 scoreline.

Inferno was a closer affair, with Natus Vincere running out to a 6-1 lead thanks to some excellent offensive fragging by Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen and Valeriy "⁠b1t⁠" Vakhovskiy. Vitality, however, adjusted their approach, and it helped them rack up five rounds in a row to get to a 6-6 score at halftime.

Vitality's offense was a well-oiled machine from the off, bagging them five rounds without reply before Natus Vincere could get going. Mihai "⁠iM⁠" Ivan and Justinas "⁠jL⁠" Lekavicius made some magic happen to get NAVI on the board, only for a back-breaking mezii clutch to come through and stop their momentum. Vitality made no mistake in sealing the deal 13-9.

Boring playstyle, just playing for info. When Aleksib is on the server, you analyse every round because they are interesting. His every move is interesting, big brain and out of the box and you have the most fun when you're watching it. Other players are garbage to the point that you don't wanna watch CS.

I enjoyed the match, it was the most funest match of the tournament despite of loss. This and Navi vs G2, the rest are garbage and throw that boring grand final to the dumpster where it belongs.
