ZywOo claims BLAST World Final MVP award
The Frenchman continued his stellar run of form to earn his second MVP medal in CS2.

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut has been named the Most Valuable Player of BLAST Premier World Final by HLTV and 1xBet after powering Vitality to victory over FaZe in the grand final.
ZywOo ended the tournament with an absurd 1.41 rating, 0.85 KPR, and 1.49 impact over eight maps, his superlative impact and consistency ensuring nobody else was even in close contention for the award by the end of the event and securing himself back-to-back medals to close 2023.

William "mezii" Merriman could have been in with a shot before the grand final, as could Robin "ropz" Kool, but the Frenchman simply outclassed the rest of the field after leading the charge in the title decider with a 1.69 series rating.
The 23-year-old made up for a pedestrian 1.00 rating against NAVI in Vitality's first map of the event by posting a 1.24 rating or above in the next seven, peaking at 1.79 on Nuke in the final against FaZe.
He topped the statistical leaderboard in a deluge of categories, including rating (1.41), KD-differential (+55), damage per round (85.9), damage-differential per round (+26.5), kills per round (0.85), lowest deaths per round (0.52), 1+ kill rounds (55.8%), and 1vsX clutches won (7).
It is the 18th career MVP medal for ZywOo, his 12th on LAN, fifth in 2023, and second in Counter-Strike 2.
