Rainwaker returns to 500

The Bulgarians have their "irreplaceable" player back following his short-lived Liquid stint.

500 have announced the return of Aleks "⁠Rainwaker⁠" Petrov to the lineup. Denis "⁠Grashog⁠" Hristov has also been moved back into the coaching position after temporarily stepping in to play in November.

Rainwaker rejoins the Bulgarian side following his unsuccessful stint with Liquid, where he played for just three months before he got benched in the high-profile rebuild of the Counter-Strike team.

After getting his first taste of tier-one competition there and averaging a modest 0.96 rating, Rainwaker now returns to the team with whom he made his name and showed promising results.

500 have struggled without the "irreplaceable" Rainwaker in these past few months, and now hope to regain ground lost with a different composition compared to the one the 22-year-old left in the summer, with Georgi "⁠SHiPZ⁠" Grigorov at the helm instead of Nikolay "⁠niki1⁠" Pantaleev.

Maybe three months weren't enough time, but do you know how he performed in practice? The main reason why Liquid benched him is that better players than him are available on the market. If better IGL then Hooxi was available on the market then G2 would/should have done that but IGL are not that easy to find. By the way, if better players are available, you are fool if you don`t sign them. Liquid had the opportunity to bring in cadiaN and Twistzz, so they did that. If they hadn't benched rainwaker now, they wouldn't have the opportunity to sign them later. A very normal move. Recently, the same happened with artfrost. Even though he was doing well, sh1ro is much better. The same goes for farling with dev1ce and also buzz recently. A similar story with flameZ replacing dupreeh and many more such incidents.
