The American organization has refreshed its roster ahead of the new year.

Jeorge returns to Nouns after a year in EG

Nouns have officially confirmed the additions of Paytyn "⁠junior⁠" Johnson and Jeorge "⁠Jeorge⁠" Endicott from Evil Geniuses, confirming an earlier report by Dust2.us. The duo has replaced Brendan "⁠Bwills⁠" Williams and David "⁠cynic⁠" Polster on the active roster.

Jeorge and junior depart EG ahead of reported move to Nouns

junior comes into the team as a well-known player in the Americas region, having represented Complexity, Evil Geniuses, and FURIA. His struggles during 2022 meant he took a step down to join EG Black, but he quickly earned a promotion to the organization's main squad, where he averaged a 1.17 rating.

Jeorge was promoted alongside junior in June of 2023 and put up a 1.04 rating across seven months of play, during which Evil Geniuses struggled for meaningful results on the international stage. The 20-year-old has also previously represented Nouns at the end of 2022 and notably attended the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas RMR.

Getting the signings in now gives Nouns some time to prepare for their next outing, as they will skip the Major open qualifiers due to their invite to the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR closed qualifier, set to start on January 12.

ehh CJ has been very good in CS2 the only problem I’d have with nouns is Carson IGLing but he’s done a good enough job rn But yeah CLASIA not being on a team is criminal even if he has attitude issues

COL, M80, Nouns, NA has solid teams with a top team again. If m80 and Nouns can improve and make some splash at International Comp then I would say the region is back to a degree.

I really have no faith in NRG. I love oSee and Hext, and Fang has his games where he could take over against top talent, but other then oSee they are just too inconsistent atm.

Probably, but he has flashes of quality that I think if he can be a step down from NAF as a player in terms of playstyle. He likes to be aggressive but really shined when used as an anchor in my opinion. But also who knows if his ceiling is remotely enough to compete internationally.

Well hopefully having more teams besides Liquid and COL with solid org support and structure will allow talent to rise up. With Fragadelphia and other locals hopefully we will see the next true star emerge.

It is more about inspiring new talents. If there are only Liquid and COL, both of which feel fairly out of reach for tier 2 NA players, having places like m80 and Nouns be much more achievable steps helps. Who knows maybe COL drops The Zerk for Slaxz cause of how good he is doing on M80, and maybe Swisher and Jorge become decent rifles. Having investment in the scene is the only way to hopefully find new talent. So I would rather be positive and supportive of orgs actually trying to field decent teams then what EG did to the space for years.

first orgs need to be willing to invest and enter. Otherwise we end up like what happened during the COVID era or how the VALORANT tier 2 scene is doing at present.

I mean IDK if I want any more then we have right now. Our Talent pool is shallow and so I think M80, Nouns, and NRG Hopefully will be a base for people to come on through. I think we need more of a supported circuit (no shit but the argument fits here) for low tier NA. I personally am trying to get friends to make a 5 stack and look to start locals in my state or join existing ones. What we need is the next great NA IGL or Player. We need a American or Canadian FALLEN.

For that to happen, it has to be someone willing to put in the hours to study how others IGL (especially those from like say karrigan, siuhy, and cadiaN) and then come up with a system that could potentially work, and have people willing to trust him. (That could also have decent to good game sense and not more all aim no brain players) But as far as I can tell and see, no one is willing to do that. And for those that do, they're more likely to want to be a star player.

Hopefully Skullz can deliver on his potential to any degree in his first year. Being with that quality of teammates to learn so much from, it could propel him quickly if he can find footing.

He should be fine, unlike past brazilians that went international, this is the first time a prospect from the region did so. So he's not washed or falling off like FalleN and coldzera were back then in their ventures.

Not sure why do the change, original roster was doing much better than most of those other NA teams, Nous had okay showings in NC in comparrison to all those other teams... id say Nous were in top 3 in NA along with Liquid, coL if im not missing on anyone else, but Nous were for sure better than EG lol

Though Nouns is still 2nd best team in NA who have successfully understand and run the EU starts and mera (after COL of course) they were still strugglling with less firepower to counter firepower heavy teams like BOSS and M80 also falling to them in ECL and nott being able to qualify for ESL pro league yet again even when they were the favourites to do so Additionally they couldn't make an impact in EU lans they got qualified to again because of less firepower so i think this is the perfect move, NosraC has transitioned into great caller and semphis strats are on point, junior is currently second best awp in NA and jeorge we know who he is additionally these two guys have a lot of tier 1 experience through EG so this move is prolly best so far in NA shuffle Though I would still say that Cynic should've been retrieved as rifler igl and CJ shouldve got the boot ig cynic and nouns have some issues
