The HLTV Community Awards 2023 winners

The community has spoken and chosen their favorite Talent, Event, Streamer, and Creator of 2023.

As a new addition to the HLTV Award Show, Community Awards were decided 100% by the vote of active HLTV users. They are given out for the Talent, Event, Streamer, and Creator of the Year to show who the fan favorite was in 2023.

The voting began on December 21 at 12:00 and ended on December 27 at 23:59 , and was only accessible to HLTV users who had registered before the announcement of the awards.

Talent of the Year

1. Chad "⁠SPUNJ⁠" Burchill (16.21% of votes)
2. James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks (16.12% of votes)
3. Conner "⁠Scrawny⁠" Girvan (11.56% of votes)

SPUNJ was chosen as the Talent of the Year by the community and placed just ahead of BanKs and Scrawny by collecting 16.21% of the votes.

The Australian attended several tier-one events, including IEM Cologne, IEM Katowice, and the BLAST.tv Paris Major and also served as the host of the HLTV Confirmed podcast.

Event of the Year

1. BLAST.tv Paris Major (38.93% of votes)
2. IEM Cologne (18.94% of votes)
3. IEM Katowice (18.24% of votes)

BLAST.tv Paris Major was voted the Event of the Year by a considerable margin, collecting more votes than the combined total of IEM Cologne and IEM Katowice, the second and third-placed events.

The French event was 2023's only Major and is remembered for the underdog runs of GamerLegion and Apeks, as well as Vitality's win on their home turf. It was not only a loved event by the community but was also a financially lucrative one, according to a recent report by HLTV.

Streamer of the Year

1. Mark "⁠ohnePixel⁠" Zimmermann (40.86% of votes)
2. Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer (14.31% of votes)
3. Alexandre "⁠gAuLeS⁠" Chiqueta (12.99% of votes)

In the Streamer of the Year category, it was ohnepixel who emerged victorious with 40.86% of the votes. The German streamer, who started his career in the skin trading community, became increasingly invested in professional CS and has been broadcasting the European RMR Open Qualifier in recent times.

Creator of the year

1. 3kliksphilip (17.19% of votes)
2. NadeKing (16.28% of votes)
3. nartouthere (13.62% of votes)

3kliksphilip took home the Creator of the Year award, earned by his in-depth analysis of Counter-Strike and the various intricacies of the game. He earned just under 1% more votes than second-placed NadeKing, with nartouthere taking home third place.

The site is HLTV. HLTV runs the s/w collecting the votes. HLTV counts the votes. HLTV reports the results. How in the frakin world is HLTV not involved.

Scrawny should have won, he is FIRE. Also for me Olof should have also won, because he is actually showing a great gameplay and promotes the game as it should be, inspiring people to get better, not just opening cases and showing the gamble side of the game. But anyway congrats to the winners, they worked hard to achieve this.
