Spirit, Astralis among slew of squads to move on to EU RMRs

Three teams from each qualifier have now snagged places in the European RMR tournaments.

Not long after the final day of play in the European RMR closed qualifiers kicked off with the elimination of six teams, six other sides concluded their qualifier campaigns by etching their names into the list of RMR participants.

Among the first and most notable squads to reach this berth were Spirit, who faced a daunting matchup against MOUZ, the top-ranked team in attendance. The European side proved to be nothing more than a paper tiger, as Spirit shipped them off to the 2-2 pool with ease.

The next squad to follow up Spirit's qualification from Closed Qualifier B was Astralis, who beat Hungarian side PERA. ex-ThunderFlash would be the last squad from this qualifier to reach the RMR, doing so only after a protracted series versus KOI.

Meanwhile, Closed Qualifier A provided a quick batch of 2-0 victories. BetBoom kicked things off by moving past OG with duplicate 13-9 scorelines, with Portuguese side SAW, joining them after besting Pari Please 2023 champs 9 Pandas.

The final squad to claim a 3-1 record in Closed Qualifier A was Virtus.pro, who cleared fnatic to secure their an RMR berth.
