ESL announce Impact League S5 invites
15 teams have earned direct invites to the premier women's Counter-Strike competition.

ESL has announced the teams that have received direct invites for Impact League Season 5, which kicks off March 6, with teams being awarded invites based on their performances in previous tournaments.
28 teams are set to compete in the regular season across three regions. In Europe 12 teams will compete in the regular season, whilst eight each do battle in North and South America.
15 teams have received direct invites: seven in Europe and four each in North America and South America. The rest of the teams participating will be found via open qualifiers, with two open qualifiers taking place in each region.
The regular season will not only award successful teams a cut of the $27,000 prize pool (split across the three regions), but will also offer spots at the $150,000 LAN finals in Dallas, set to take place May 31-June 2.
The top four teams in Europe will qualify for the LAN finals, the top two in North America, and only the top team in South America. The final slot at the eight-team LAN will qualify via an open Asian qualifier.

ESL came under fire recently for the changes made to the ESL Impact circuit for 2024. The removal of ESL Impact Katowice from the calendar and the revised slot distribution were particular targets of criticism.
The full list of invited teams is as follows:
