From what you said I wouldn't rule out a hardware issue.
I'd probably run memtest overnight, it's an easy thing to test and rule out.

Most of this week every comp match I played was toxic, both teams accusing each of cheating then some TK or disconnect and then abandoned.
If your opponent is cheating or not doesn't matter any more ...

IMO I'd take the opportunity to play something different for the showmatch.
Hostage, unusual maps, decent retired teams ex-final, danger zone(RIP).
