donk Fantasy picks crater as price spikes ahead of IEM Katowice playoffs

IEM Katowice Playoffs fantasy poses a significant challenge with only six teams to pick from as we reach the arena matches.

IEM Katowice 2024 Playoffs

Format

· Single-elimination 6-team bracket.

· MOUZ and Spirit start from the semi-finals, the rest start from the quarter-finals.

· MOUZ and Spirit's players will receive 6 team points for the quarter-finals.

· Quarter-finals and semi-finals are BO3, Grand Final is BO5 (which means 1.25 multiplier on player points).

Things to note

· Since MOUZ and Spirit will get 6 points by default but skip the first match, it might make sense to go for cheaper players from these two teams since they will have fewer opportunities to incur negative points. This applies as long as you expect the quarter-finalists to have a shot at reaching the final.

Player prices

· donk is having an extraordinary run of form, so his price has been bumped to a nearly unseen $245K, up from $223K in the play-in and $234K in the group stage. Yet it is still lower than what a normal rating-based calculation should give him. Because of his current price, he’s only present on roughly 20% of teams, with his usual fantasy pair, Leonid "⁠chopper⁠" Vishnyakov, taking the lead in terms of picks.

· Due to the player break being still quite recent, the prices were partly adjusted to account for the performance of players in Katowice.

RES Western European Masters Spring 2024 - BLAST Premier Qualifier

Format

· You can create your teams on the Fantasy page, here.

· 4-team GSL groups, 4-team single-elimination playoffs.

· All group stage matches are BO1, all other matches are BO3. It means that group matches will provide only 50% of player points and there’s a high risk of upsets.

· Padding will be awarded for one round for the teams winning the winners’ match in the group stage.
