The Brazilian team's 2024 woes continue following an online group stage exit.

FURIA's results continue to be cause for concern ahead of the Americas RMR

FURIA are out of the running for BLAST Premier Spring Final after faltering at the first hurdle. Andrei "⁠arT⁠" Piovezan's side were eliminated in the group stage of RES Western European Masters Spring, one of the qualifiers for the Spring Showdown, only recording a narrow best-of-one win over ex-Anonymo on either side of desolate losses to Metizport in Group B.

The Brazilians were the second-highest-ranked team in the qualifier after Apeks, with fnatic being the next closest at No. 36. Both FURIA and Apeks ended up seeded into the same group, but didn't meet as Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk and company went undefeated to make the playoffs.

Apeks eliminate FURIA from IEM Katowice Play-in

arT's side won their first trophy in over four years at Elisa Masters Espoo toward the end of 2023, but have largely struggled for success since adding Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo and Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes in July.

This group stage exit comes as another blow to FURIA's confidence after they already started their year with a last-place elimination from the Play-in stage of IEM Katowice following defeats to The MongolZ and Apeks, and failed to qualify for RES Eastern European Masters Spring through the open bracket.

FURIA stumble in first round of BLAST Spring Showdown qualifier

The poor run of form and results comes just two weeks ahead of FURIA's Americas RMR effort, where they may not be a lock-in to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen with the level they have showcased in 2024 thus far.

Elsewhere in the qualifier, fnatic also met their demise, beating Endpoint in their opener but losing to Sprout and 3DMAX to miss out on the playoffs.

Asia CS is dog water, none of the good gamers there play CS besides Mongolz and a few Chinese players. NA SA and Oceania all deserve more slots over Asia, none of the talent is coming out of Asia for CS unlike in other regions.

na/sa both were chanced with exposure but they are all good for nothing bar complexity/liquid. col the only team that went far. mongolz had nothing to work with but themselves. if other asian teams are given more exposure, they would put NA/SA to tears. i believe brazil's bum remains rather sore.

A big problem is the huge buyouts in Brazil. skullz was 600.000$, but even players like hardzao or lucaozy are in that range. They really need to do something about their contracts and then I hope that Brazil can put together a few good teams, because the potential is there.

Furia are not a lock in for the major at all. m80, MIBR & Imperial can all beat Furia to a spot with the form that Furia have been showing recently. It's likely Furia make it but I'm not confident in them at all.
