Party Astronauts qualify for ESL Challenger Melbourne

PA got revenge in the qualifier's grand final to secure their trip to Australia.

WolfY topped the board with a 1.40 rating

Party Astronauts will be at ESL Challenger Melbourne after securing a spot in the tournament down under with a 2-0 victory over NRG in the grand final.

Ben "⁠ben1337⁠" Smith and company had to beat Mythic in the consolidation final after an upper bracket final loss to NRG, and in the end came out on top in the final grudge match.

Adam "⁠WolfY⁠" Andersson was crucial in his team's close victory with a 1.40 rating in the series. Despite it being a 2-0 scoreline, as opposed to the 2-1 from the upper bracket final, this time around the two maps went down to the wire.

Inferno was won in the last round of regulation, 13-11, while Anubis had to go to overtime, with Party Astronauts coming out on top 16-12.

Seven of the eight teams that will compete at ESL Challenger Melbourne are now known. Apeks, MIBR and Rebels were invited due to their place in ESL's ranking, Rooster were the local invite, and three teams made it through regional qualifiers: Newhappy in Asia, sunday school in Oceania and now Party Astronauts in North America.

One more spot is open from the European qualifier, which will seal the team list ahead of the tournament taking place in Australia on April 26-28.
