FlyQuest RED finalize roster ahead of ESL Impact

Emma "⁠Emy⁠" Choe returns to North America's best women's team after a year and a half away.

Emy and Vanessa "⁠vanessa⁠" Gideon have been officially unveiled as new members of the FlyQuest RED team.

The duo has won three ESL Impact Cash Cups with the team already and have now become permanent fixtures for FlyQuest RED as they gear up for the kick-off of the ESL Impact League's fifth season.

That begins on March 6 with the roster around Mounira "⁠GooseBreeder⁠" Dobie hoping to retain their place as North America's best women's team following top placings in their region in every season of the Impact League so far and looking to improve their stance internationally.

The new additions to the team replace Kelsie "⁠uhKelsie⁠" Click and Marissa "⁠madss⁠" Dasta, who parted ways with FlyQuest RED earlier this year following a lackluster ending to 2023, which saw the team bow out of the Season 4 Finals in last place.

Emy joins the team to reunite with GooseBreeder, alongside whom she played under CLG Red from 2018-2022 and won several regional and international titles in 2018-2019. Former Shimmer and EG Gold member vanessa rounds out the new FlyQuest RED roster:

FlyQuest Blue better

Since impact this core has been the most disappointing. About time they turn it around. I still believe in kaoday and bibi alot. Would have rather seen one of juli/mads/piggykiki on the lineup

thanks for the info, I didn't actually know that her stats in that team were terrible, but I think if you make the switch from female cs to mixed cs, you need a proper igl and coach instead of being thrown into a tier 5 team and expected to perform instantly would have loved to see a good academy team trying out any female player, they have little to lose and usually have more experienced coaches, managers, etc.

id be more interested in girls team announcements if they ever broadcast them. I dont think i ever see any womens cs events listed on HLTV matches

They sometimes have them as far as I’m aware but I agree with this sentiment. Despite being the premier female tournaments its pretty hard to find a lot of info about ESL Impact.
