paiN outclass Legacy, RED Canids trounce Wildcard
The North American team, ranked 50th in the world, got off on the wrong foot in Monterrey.

Day 1 of the Americas RMR continued with two blowouts as paiN made light work of Legacy in an all-Brazilian clash, while RED Canids ran over Wildcard.
Marcelo "coldzera" David picked up three frags in the pistol round as Legacy took an early lead, but paiN hit back immediately and ran away with the game. One gun round was all that Legacy could muster on the T side as they looked timid and disoriented throughout the half.
More misery was to come for Legacy as they went down in the ensuing pistol round without putting up much resistance. With the wind in their sails, paiN won the last two rounds they needed to put this one-sided game to bed.
Over on the secondary stream, Wildcard were simply no match for their opponents despite being the higher-ranked of the two teams. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz’s side posted their first round of the game when they were already down 9-0, and there was no follow-up as RED Canids refused to let their foot off the gas and strolled to a 13-1 lead into the 1-0 pool.
