Complexity and paiN go 2-0 in Americas RMR
Two close matches kicked off the second day of play in Mexico.

The first set of matches in the 1-0 pool at PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR have drawn to a close, seeing Complexity and paiN emerge victorious over their respective opponents of BOSS and RED Canids after two hard-fought games.
BOSS got off to a solid start on Ancient, winning four of the first five rounds on their T side thanks to a pistol round success. Complexity did not let Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore's troops run away with the match for free, stringing together three rounds of their own to quickly tie things up. Despite these efforts, BOSS emerged victorious at the half, with Brett "brett" Rhein powering his team to a narrow 7-5 lead.
While BOSS looked compelling in the first half, the second half was ultimately dominated by Complexity. After dropping the second pistol round, BOSS snatched the first gun round of the half to briefly retain their lead, but it did little to stop Complexity from charging ahead.
With Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli firing on full cylinders, BOSS struggled to bring things over the line in numerous close rounds, before a 1v4 clutch from the Norwegian AWPer dealt world No.59 team a death blow.

The other debut 1-0 matchup featured Brazilian sides paiN and RED Canids squaring off on Overpass, with paiN dominating early on their CT side, quickly carving out a 6-1 lead. RED Canids briefly retorted with three more rounds, but paiN rounded out the half with an 8-4 scoreline, looking poised to claim their place in the 2-0 pool with ease.
RED Canids proved more difficult to overcome than the first half may have suggested, as Wesley "hardzao" Lopes and company laid claim to the first five rounds of the second half, allowing RED Canids to secure both double-digit rounds and the lead. Despite looking uncomfortable to start on their T side, paiN ultimately managed to adjust their course, with Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt and Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk leading the charge for paiN to close out the match 13-10.
