FURIA and Complexity to square off for Major spot on day 3

The third round of the Swiss stage is headlined by a clash between two top 20 teams.

After beating Liquid, FURIA must now face Complexity

The Americas Minor field has been whittled down to 12 teams after Day 2 ended with the eliminations of NRG, BESTIA, Nouns and Elevate. The best-of-one games are now officially behind us as every match from now on will be either an elimination or a qualification series.

In the 2-0 pool, all eyes will be on the match between Complexity and FURIA, two teams separated by only four ranking positions. The last time the two teams faced each other was in the group stage of Elisa Masters Espoo, where FURIA picked up a 13-8 victory to kick-start a title-winning campaign.

The other qualification series will be an all-Brazilian clash between paiN and Imperial. It will be a rematch of the recent RMR closed qualifier series, which Imperial won in two close maps, forcing their opponents to play one extra Swiss round in the qualifier.

The 1-1 pool threw up a series of regional clashes, with Liquid set to take on BOSS and M80 poised to lock horns with Wildcard. There will also be two Brazilian derbies, as Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's Legacy will face MIBR, while RED Canids will square off against ODDIK.

M80 has a coach standing in, wildcard better form, 100% favorites Furia, better head to head, more experienced players, + they have the best duo in the RMR, not heavy favorites, bur 55/45 or 60/40!

Hope col win. Also no they shouldn't change their logo to that garbage from the 2000s. I enjoyed the vids back then (I was a Machinima/montage director with my own profile on own-age) but by any rational standard it's not a good logo.

I thought they were done with matching s-tier/invited teams against other teams. Why did they do this again? Furia v Liquid, Furia v Complexity, we have seen this a million times already, PGL, BLAST, IEM do this all the time, letting lesser-known teams fight instead of facing known teams at 0-0 and 2-0 matches in Swiss format.

Damn thats good. both paiN and Imperial deserves going to Copenhagen but 3-0 DAMNNN Furia X Complexity againnnnnn. Hope we dont make the same mistake like last match point 4x1 and we let Complexity win and take to overtime and get the match/game again.
