Complexity and Liquid's sole losses at the RMR so far have been to FURIA

Complexity will face Liquid for the 24th and final Major spot at 23:00 on March 4 after being paired together in the 2-1 pool in Monterrey.

Both teams fell foul of a well-playing world No. 18 FURIA for their solitary losses so far, but Liquid's low initial seed — based off of Valve's December regional standings — has resulted in a situation where two of North America's biggest names will fight for one Major berth between them.

If all 5 of NA teams would get into top-16, NA would get 8 spots at the next major. With 8 spots on the offer, 2-2 would be possible. Right now NA only has 5 spots (3 free spots and 2 spots earned in top16). It doesnt make sense to have 2-2 matches, because that would lead to top-8 teams playing even more matches to decide top-5. More matches to decide, which exact teams will get 0-3 and 1-3 at the major?

They could still have some sort of deciders with the 5th to 8th place teams coming up with a single 5th place team. It would only take 2 matches. It would make a hell of alot more sense then just letting top seeded times get in easily by giving all their matches against 3 of the lowest seeded team. Not an accurate representation of whos actually top 5. Its like, "i can beat 3 tier2 team, i deserve a major spot."

It took 50 matches for this format, With 2-2s included, it would take 66 matches to get top8, another 3 matches to separate 3-4-5 from 6-7-8. So, in total, they would do 69 matches minimum. All of that, just to get teams, that would do 0-3 and 1-3 at the major? Great Also, NA has only tier2 teams, so no surprise you get a spot at major beating tier2 teams.
