OG knock Complexity out of Showdown
It's a rough day for North America as the two biggest names from the region are eliminated from Spring Final contention.

Complexity has been eliminated from BLAST Premier Spring Showdown by OG, who reverse-swept the series with wins on Anbuis (13-5) and Ancient (13-10) after narrowly conceding defeating on their pick of Inferno (14-16) at the start of the series.
The American team traveled directly from the Americas RMR in Monterrey, Mexico to London to play in the Showdown, which didn't give them the time to prepare like they usually would before the game, Michael "Grim" Wince explained after the series. He added the team are tired from the travel and admitted they weren't playing at 100%, particularly in clutch situations where "you're not thinking of all the options properly."
Fellow Americas RMR attendees Liquid were knocked out of the competition by SAW earlier in the day, with Imperial and Elevate being the only teams from that side of the water still left in contention.

The result is a huge bounce-back in form for Nils "k1to" Gruhne's side, who looked dismal in showings against Vitality and Falcons in Spring Groups and more recently, failed to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen after bowing out of RMR B with a 1-3 record and losses to Apeks, ECSTATIC, and GamerLegion.
"We had a small break, a couple of days, to reset," k1to said of what OG has done since their early RMR exit. "Everyone was sad obviously, we missed our main goal, what we have been working really hard for for the last couple of months. It sucks for everyone. Now we're back to practicing and just want to play as much as possible, I hope we can beat Complexity today so we can continue to play officials in BLAST."

The German rifler recently transitioned to an in-game leader role and his growing pains in the role were evident early in the season, but in this series against Complexity it was a different story. A potent T side on Inferno and stellar entry work from the captain allowed OG to muster an 8-4 lead in the first half, but struggles to close after the side swap allowed Complexity to recover and steal the win in overtime despite an incredible Deagle ace from Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko.
The remaining two maps were a different story, however, with Complexity's Anubis pick backfiring as they mustered just five rounds in a dominant show of force by OG. Both pistol wins and conversions on Ancient gave Complexity all the room to maneuver on the decider, but terrific form from HeavyGod allowed OG to grab five rounds on the T side before they completely ran away with a stalwart defense to close the series, 13-10.
