Cloud9 and ENCE claim comeback wins over Legacy and KOI

KOI are headed straight to the 0-2 pool after a rough day one.

Cloud9 have secured their place in the 2-0 pool, just a single match away from the Elimination Stage of PGL Copenhagen Major, but only after crawling back from a daunting deficit against Legacy.

A similar state of affairs came about on the 0-1 pool stream, with ENCE moving past KOI in overtime on Nuke, putting together a streak of nine rounds straight to best the Iberian side.

Cloud9 struggled to find their footing early on in their Overpass BO1, snagging the first gun round on their T side but finding little else throughout the first half. A 1v3 clutch from Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov was impressive but did little to revitalize the Russian squad's offensive efforts, with Cloud9 managing only three rounds in the first half.

A pistol round win for Cloud9 was immediately answered with a force-buy victory for Legacy, putting the Brazilians in a perfect spot to close out the map with ease. Despite this fortunate turn of events, Gabriel "⁠NEKIZ⁠" Schenato's troops completely crumbled on the offense, with that force-buy win serving as the sole round the team would earn on their T side, with Cloud9 posting an impressive nine-round run to close out the map 13-10.

ENCE's match versus KOI played out on Nuke, where the Polish side took a commanding 5-2 lead despite dropping the first pistol round. KOI were unfazed by this, with David "⁠dav1g⁠" Granado Bermudo powering his team to a solid finish to their defense.

The Iberian squad kept things up in the early portion of their T side to reach, and although they reached match point after a string of back-and-forth rounds, ENCE managed to find a lifeline, posting the final five rounds of the half to secure overtime. By this point thoroughly broken, KOI were unable to claim a single round after regulation, allowing ENCE to finish off the map 16-12.
