RUSH joins Party Astronauts

The former Evil Geniuses player is back in action after nine months away.

Party Astronauts have announced the addition of William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba as their new fifth player. The veteran joins the organization-less squad as a replacement for Colby "⁠Walco⁠" Walsh, who left the team for NRG in early March only three weeks into his tenure.

RUSH returns to action for the first time since last June, when he was left out of the promotion of the EG Black squad to the now all-but-defunct organization's main team.

In July, the 29-year-old formally left the American organization and announced he was open to opportunities as a player or coach. Though he didn't find a Counter-Strike team in either capacity, in October he joined Mind Body Esports as a performance coach.

On March 11 RUSH hinted at the possibility of making a return saying he had been "heavily enjoying watching and playing CS2" after taking some time to decompress, and he went on to help Party Astronauts make it through the ESL Challenger Jönköping NA open qualifier just two days later.

He now officially joins the American side ahead of the start of ESL Challenger League Season 47, where Party Astronauts are about to face off against Take Flyte at 03:00 first.

There really isn’t an na-equivalent of devilwalk. There is warden, but he never really achieved the success as a coach that devilwalk did. Maybe AdreN? Never won a major but had good player and coaching careers.
